Mehr anzeigen Weniger ansehen. It was a decen Okay. It was a decent ending and at least we got answers to everything.
It just left more to be desired. Cute, fun, light read though. This series started out okay, with the best one in the entire series being volume 2.
After that, it sort of steadily declined in my eyes. I just feel like this series would have done better with more volumes simply because I think it glossed over too much to make me really care about these characters.
Plus, I felt like the ending and "problem" to resolve was too weak to really constitute as either. It felt too forced.
I don't think I have ever walked away from these slice-of-life romance mangas This series started out okay, with the best one in the entire series being volume 2.
I don't think I have ever walked away from these slice-of-life romance mangas thinking that everyone should just be friends and the romance shouldn't have happened but, well, here we are.
Meh overall, but the art was good. This is my problem with this series: The love triangle. One of the boys turns into a wolf.
One turns into a fox. The "my mother left me to die in the forest" plot line Cat-boy: He has maybe two lines in the whole comic?
Why include him? The bonus comic with the cat-boy was more interesting than the plot of the 4 book series. It literally made me cry.
Must I say that was quite an ending; especially, reading that bonus story for Senri. Plus, I felt as if I was on the "Feels Train".
It was a saddening story, the love for his lady of when he had been taken care of as a kitten when no other person would do the same. Komugi, whose memories have been repressed, struggles to remember wolf-boy Yu.
Good thing: There's a happy ending and the usual super-quick, fluffy read. Bad thing: That ending was very rushed.
I liked the bonus story but didn't realize the main story was finished until I turned the page and was like -what??
Overall, this was a light, sweet, fun series. Definitely worth it and super cute eye candy of both humans and animals.
My reservations about this last book in the series are that the ending felt kind of out-of-nowhere, the childhood secret felt kind of anti-climactic, and Sad face.
The characters are still appealing, but I think I needed more of an arc- and more Rin! All of the plot points end up going nowhere, really.
It feels like she had to rush the ending, and unfortunately the love triangle, the past, the teacher who blocked things, it all was rushed and forgotten for the happy ending.
The happy ending wasn't bad, but in 4 books it feels like every plot point was just a rush of nothing.
The conclusion was terribly contrived, and Yu's ambiguous 'forgetting' and then 'remembering' about the true circumstances of his mother was left too murky for the reader to make any sense of.
Overall a cute story, but the lack of development or sensical conflict for these characters to grow from dampens the series greatly.
This volume was sweet. It was nice to get to know Senri better! Rin was maybe my favorite character so it would of have been better to know him better, but maybe it was better this way!
I had wonderful trip with this series! I loved this drawing style the whole series. I have to get this whole series to my shelf! I'm a sucker for happy endings for 5 stars for the final volume.
I'm pretty bummed for a certain 2nd male lead though. Nonetheless, I love the character development in the final volume. I'm glad that Ookami has finally broken out of his shell and learn to accept the truth.
Wow, that bonus chapter tore out my heart, shredded it to ribbons, and then plastered the strips together. Good lord.
Yata sensei is an ass and we'll never learn enough about this dude. I want to read more about Senri and Yata and just expand the bonus chapter to a series please!
The freaking feels in this book just kill me, especially at the end, after we learn the truth about what really happened the day Yu's mother left him with the Sensei.
It was super sweet though. Sucks that the series was so short though, was just getting into it. I did prefer Rin a bit over Yuu, but I always knew who she was going to end up with in the end.
I thought that the little flashback to when they were kids was pretty cute and sweet. Overall an okay series. I really enjoyed this series!
I really liked Nogiri's more recent work Love in Focus and I'm really happy I went back to their older stuff. I really adored this series, I think fans of Fruits Basket will like this too.
Cute story, but very conventional. I did like the ending. I wish the story was longer. Cute and sweet :. There are no discussion topics on this book yet.

View 2 comments. However, this was my least favourite volume so far. I still liked it though, don't get me wrong. But the reason I think this was the weakest volume, is that it made me think how Fushimi's actions feel kinda all over the place Yeah, he's just classically overprotective, bad at expressing himself and kinda prejudiced against humans.
Bu 3,5 stars but I'm rounding it up because Oogami finally came to his senses in regard of his feelings, and because Fushimi mostly dropped his grr-i-hate-you act.
But even though his kind of characters usually go through the "melting", his isn't explained very well. And he's mighty contradicting, first so hard trying to keep Komugi and Oogami apart and now suddenly telling Oogami to get over it and pursue Komugi!
And so far, we don't know why Komugi is confused most of the time and can't blame her. I applaud her cool because the boys surely are giving mixed messages.
And when finally things start to clear, that suspicious teacher comes to mess up things again! What's his deal?? I'm curious. So, this series isn't trying to invent the wheel again but it's still nice little drama.
I like Komugi and the boys. Awaji was MVP of this volume, I've thought he's too carefree and nosy but here he actually was usually the saviour of the tense situations and for that I liked him a lot here.
Senri, the cat boy, so far has just I like Oogami, he's sweet, but in this volume he was overshadowed by everybody else except Senri. Nogiri's line is really thin but mostly art looks just fine.
Komugi seemed to have the same expression throughout this volume though; yeah, she was confused most of the time but that was something I took notice of as I was reading.
I'm looking forward to the final volume! Apparently this series wraps up in the next volume, which I really like Fushimi?
I liked that he and Komugi built a friendship that was based on learning to understand how the other one is. I don't know if I'd like to see them together, but I'm a little bit eh about the predictable turn since Ogami is obviously the male main here.
Also Yata-sensei is hella creepy. I love him, but he's hella cree Apparently this series wraps up in the next volume, which I love him, but he's hella creepy.
I didn't see the ending coming, though I really do understand his motivation. So I guess we will see how this ends. Based on some spoiler comments I saw on the final volume when it was released in Japan it looks like things get a bit rushed feeling.
Its honestly been so long since I've read a series that ended before at least volume 5 that I'm curious to see if I still enjoy it as much on a re-read later this year.
I love the art here, but the characters lack serious motivation to make the plot feasible. I see absolutely no reason the two main characters should be "in love" and why the author has to throw in so many meh obstacles to keep the stories going.
I thought going into this that this would be a homage to Fruits Basket that I actually liked because I have pretty concrete reasons to dislike Fruits Basket , but the premise was always a good one , but I was wrong.
I'll read volume 4, because this is an I love the art here, but the characters lack serious motivation to make the plot feasible.
I'll read volume 4, because this is an overall short series, but if you are looking for a cutesy, shoujo-style high school romance, try the mangaka's other manga Love in Focus.
Cliche, again. Nothing with the pacing has been resolved. The plot still flies and lags all over the place. Mentor character has unexpected plot twist character change but also doesn't--poorly done and not compelling in the slightest.
None of the characters have any depth. This was my least favorite volume so far. A lot of the things that happened were pretty boring and felt inconsequential, kind of like filler, which is weird to have in such a short series.
I liked the cliffhanger ending, so maybe the last volume will be better? I hope so. I can not wait to read the last volume.
Thank goodness I waited to read this until I had volume four - this is a surprisingly engrossing little romance! MangaMadnessReadathon April [Round 9].
Today's post is on That Wolf-Boy is Mine! It is pages long and is published by Kodansha Comics. The cover has Aoshi the tanuki on it.
As it is the third volume you need to have read the first two volumes to understand the story. There is no foul language, no sex, and no violence in this manga.
The story is told from third person close of the two main characters. There Be Spoilers Ahead. From the back of the book- Just Friends.
After Rin shares profound insights with Komugi about her crush, she learns it's easier to bottle up her feeligns for the wolf-boy, Yu.
As Komugi gets to really know Rin the fox, hos cold exterior slowly melts away- and Yu can't help but be concerned. In order to let someone new into his heart, Yu struggles to confront his emotional trauma fro the past.
Review- More drama in this volume with Komugi being confronted by the boys teacher who wants her to go away. She is causing trouble without meaning to and he wants to make things go back to the way they were before.
Komugi does have the chance to leave but she wants to stay when she discovers that she and Yu met when they were children.
So the answers to the future are in the past and Yu must deal with his past in order to move forward. But drama at the end with Komugi losing her memories and what is Yu gong to do now?
This volume is all about plot with some character growth. With one more volume I am curious about how everything is going to end up.
I give this volume a Four out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.
Oh my Lord, in heaven! And the drama is getting so intense, but not in an uncomfortable way. Sometimes I feel like her two best friends have more of a presence than she does, but I digress.
The comedy, like before was good for a few chuckles in between some really heavy drama. Summary: The main character is a girl named Oogami.
She moves to Hokaiddo from Tokyo because her mom is moving somewhere for work for a year. Oogami is sent to live with her father whom she didn't see for 8 years because of divorce.
